The ml is really toxic to the mc, but the mc just takes it and they have a really uncomfortable to watch relationship where even other characters in the story question ml, eventually mc gets tired of this and leaves but ml is really attached to him now and the story kind of turns into a dragged out drama of if they get back together or not.
I know this is not a unique storyline, but this is all I can remember, I think the title was something like “will they won’t they” or something along that line, and I believe it was a college setting.
I think there was also a point in the story where the roles kind of reverse a bit and mc starts playing with ml feelings.
It sounds typical so it might be hard to find out of the hundreds of BL with this plot lol but I remember this one feeling like it was pretty grounded in reality and the ml problems and internalized homophobia are addressed (sort of)
