Hi all, Its been over a year since this happened and I figure thats more than long enough to have waited for a completed commission that was never completed.
Personally due to my experience I don’t recommend commissioning this artist even though their art is very lovely.
I commissioned this artist initially because I’m pretty fond of their work and I noticed their coms were open in their TikTok bio and really affordable for me, I messaged and got a response pretty quick.
The artist discussed is @El_tacc0 on TikTok or El Tacco on Facebook.
We talked, I commissioned some art of myself in his art style and everything was going smooth, we had a little back and forth on body shape and face he first asked if I was using PayPal and I said “Yes!” because I didn’t have an issue, he then told me his PayPal was overdrawn which I understood (been there ouugghh) he instead had me purchase some in game currency (I think for LoL Wild Rift?) for him through a website, he noted that it would take up to two weeks as he was attending school, after a short time he provided a draft lineart, I let him know to take his time with the piece and after that about 5 days later I messaged, I hoped school was going okay and to not stress too much on timeframe however after that all I got was radio silence, I haven’t received any follow up or reply to my messages, I’ve sent a few on different social medias as well.
I don’t think I was being annoying or pestering him in any way, after five days I checked in the see how he was doing, after that though I just simply wanted an update on the work around the time he said it would be done.
I’ve long since moved past this but I’m hoping that anyone who sees this takes this into consideration.
