Synopsis:
Lord Ruan has never had an easy childhood. One day, after running away from his duties, he stumbles upon a boy his own age. They don’t exchange names, and yet none of that seems to matter. Ruan finds himself laughing, playing, and perhaps for the very first time, feeling free.
Day by day, his thoughts drift further from the rigid lessons of succession and closer to the warmth of that kindhearted boy.
When he returns to his homeland, he attempts to reconnect and find the boy but soon discovers it to be a much harder task than expected….
My review:
I can’t believe the author intended to end this story at chapter 16…… It’s rare to see such endings in canon and I really appreciate seeing something different. There’s is a continuation (which I’m happy about) but I can see that it was added mainly to make fans happy. TBH, after reading it, I like both the ending at chapter 16 (rip my heart) AND the alternate ending.
Definitely recommend it! Those who read it, what do you think?
