I read this within the last year or so, but I can’t seem to find it anymore! I don’t remember the names of the characters, so I’ll be referring to them as “seme” and “uke” for clarity, though my memory is fuzzy so their dynamic might be reversed. I’m going to write out all the details I remember, so there’s a TLDR at the end.
The story had a college/school setting where the seme and uke are siblings (maybe stepsiblings or half-siblings, but they were definitely some kind of related). The seme constantly had to take care of the uke because the uke seemed really incompetent and had no life survival skills. At the beginning of the story, the uke insists on sleeping with the seme because his AC is broken and he’s too lazy to fix it.
Both siblings grew up learning archery because their dad runs a famous dojo or something. The uke is the better archer, but the seme is the better teacher. There’s one scene where some bystanders are kinda bad mouthing the uke, and the seme stands up to defend him.
It becomes a running joke in their friend group that the two are always together, and the seme gets teased for having a bro-con. However, one of the seme’s friends is genuinely concerned that the seme is too obsessed with his brother and isn’t thinking enough about his own life.
About halfway through the story, the parents sort of forced the seme to move out because they thought the uke was depending too much on him. At this point, the seme and uke already have a sexual relationship. I don’t think the parents know, and if they do, they don’t care. The seme is really worried about the uke, so he still goes home all the time to spend time together.
One day, though, he discovers that the uke has actually been capable this entire time, and was faking being incompetent so he could bait the seme into a relationship. The seme feels really betrayed and has an identity crisis, and tries to cut ties for good. He ends up trying to get a normal salary job. But one day, he goes back home and sees the uke training, and they make up again. There was a heartfelt confession from the uke that even though he can take care of himself, he’s still a mess without the seme.
Appearance-wise, the two look pretty different despite being siblings (one has dark hair, one has light hair). I remember thinking the light-haired one was really pretty, but the dark-haired one was kinda plain lolol. Their relationship overall seems very co-dependent, but in a sweet way.
TLDR – dark hair sibling x light hair sibling. Seme always takes care of the uke because he thinks the uke is incompetent at everything except archery. They get into a relationship, but then the parents kick the seme out (for reasons unrelated to the relationship). Seme then realizes the uke has been competent all along, but pretended to rely on him to bait him into a relationship. Seme feels betrayed and tries to distance himself, but then he returns home. Uke gives a heartfelt confession, and they make up.
